Who we are
The “royal we” refers to me, Zach Brecheisen, PhD. I grew up in New Mexico in a somewhat difficult socioeconomic environment. I’ve always been handy and skilled at diagnosing, fixing, and fabricating things as having that kind of ability is highly advantageous when finances are generally limited. On the other hand, I’ve been extremely fortunate with post-secondary education and training at New Mexico State University, Duke University, Purdue University, and the University of Oklahoma where I learned and experienced more than I could have imagined beforehand. I’ve conducted and presented environmental science research internationally. In every setting, feeling at home with tools in my hands and having little fear of being novice in new undertakings has always served me well.
I have extensive academic experience and training in:
experimental design
data analysis and visualization
field instrumentation and sampling
forest allometry
teaching in higher-education
geospatial analyses and remote sensing
I am growing my practical skillsets in areas including:
3D printing
server infrastructure
metalworking
general fabrication
